Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to shop, learn and wax with Jelly Wax. If any part of our website is hard to use, please tell us and we’ll help.

Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across jellywax.co. These guidelines explain how to make websites easier to use for people with disabilities, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or voice control.

What we do

Readable textText meets contrast guidelines against its background, and pages still work when you zoom to 200%.

Keyboard friendlyMenus, the quiz, the bag and checkout can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.

Screen reader supportImages have text descriptions, and buttons, forms and headings are labelled.

Easy to tapButtons and links are at least 44 pixels tall on phones.

Calm motionNo flashing content. Videos don’t play sound unless you turn it on.

Clear formsErrors are explained in words, not just colour.

Third-party tools

Some parts of our site come from partners, such as checkout, reviews, subscriptions and order tracking. We choose partners who work on accessibility too, but we don’t control everything they build. If you have trouble with one of these, contact us and we’ll help you finish what you came to do.

Ongoing work

We test new pages before they go live and review the site regularly. Accessibility is never finished, so we keep fixing issues as we find them.
