Always start with a small area like your underarms or a bit of your legs, hold your skin taut, and pull fast and close to the skin. Try to judge the results after your first session instead of the pain, because it just gets better from here!

If it helps, you can also take some ibuprofen 1–2 hours before you wax to help with the pain if you’re really nervous, but always consult your medical professional before taking any type of pain medicine.

Redness and even some small spotting in the first 24 hours is completely normal, especially if you’ve never waxed before or if it’s been a few months since you last waxed.
