Skin Safety Test and Guidelines for Jelly Wax

At Jelly Wax, your safety is our top priority. While our Signature Jelly Wax formula is designed for sensitive skin and is gentle for most users, every skin type is unique. To ensure the best experience and avoid irritation, it is essential to conduct a Skin Safety Test before your first waxing session or when using our products on a new area of your body.

When to Perform a Skin Safety Test

  • If you are using Jelly Wax for the first time.
  • When applying Jelly Wax to a new area of your body.
  • After recent UV exposure or if your skin tone has changed due to tanning (natural or artificial).
  • If you have sensitive skin, allergies, or a history of skin reactions.

How to Complete the Skin Safety Test

Step 1: Prepare Your Skin

  1. Exfoliate the area to be tested to remove dead skin cells.
  2. Ensure the area is clean, dry, and free of oils or lotions.

Step 2: Apply a Small Test Patch

  1. Using a small amount of Jelly Wax, apply it to an inconspicuous area within the treatment zone (e.g., the inside of your arm or behind your knee).
  2. Allow the wax to cool and remove it following the included instructions.

Step 3: Observe the Test Area

  • Monitor the test area for 24-48 hours for any signs of irritation, such as itching, swelling, or discoloration.

What to Do If You Have a Reaction

If you experience any of the following reactions, discontinue use immediately:

  • Prolonged swelling (think after 24-48 hours)
  • Skin rash or hives
  • Scarring, or excessive sensitivity
  • Itching or discoloration

Contact your healthcare provider if symptoms persist, and feel free to reach out to our team at info@jellywax.co for assistance.
